Latris lineataSize: To 120cm and 25 kg (commonly to 88 cm and 7 kg. Habitat: Trumpeter live around rocky reefs from shallow water to depths of up to 300m. Commonly found deeper than 120m. Fishery: Found in Tasmania, South Australia and Victoria. Usually taken by line and can occasionally be found in craypots. Remarks: A very highly regarded eating fish. One of the best in Australia! The flesh is firm, tasty and fatty. Domestic: Chilled and packed for transport in random weight bags or 15 kilo poly boxes.
